Director Data Science & Data Engineering (all genders) YOUR TASKSYou are responsible both technically and disciplinarily for leading an international & multifunctional data science team focused on complex digital business solutions as part of the diconium data unit.Your main focus lies on the strategic aspect, where you have the responsibility and freedom to drive the success of the data science team forward.In a cloud-based environment, you closely collaborate with the product team to define our vision and roadmap.Continuous evaluation of new technologies and best practices in the field of data science, data engineering, and data architecture.Your motivation is to enable our clients to access the next level of digital transformation through data-driven automation and insights.You actively contribute to shaping our open, positive work environment and culture where people enjoy coming to work and performance is appreciated.Close collaboration with other departments to ensure that data initiatives support business objectives.Responsibility for planning, implementation, and monitoring of data projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.Analyzing data to gain insights and support data-driven decisions.YOUR PROFILECompleted university degree ideally with a focus on data science, engineering, or architecture.Several years of experience in leading data teams, ideally in a senior position.Ideally experience in developing and implementing data architectures as well as designing databases, data models, and data warehouses.Ideally experience with cloud-based architectures such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Snowflake.Strong technical skills in data science, data engineering, and data analysis, including knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Scala, SQL, Spark, Kafka, and TensorFlow.Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.You are a proactive problem solver with an agile mindset and approach.Analytical thinking and the ability to identify patterns and trends in data.Business orientation and understanding of the company's needs and goals.Supporting your team members in their personal and professional development is motivating for you and an essential foundation of your own success.Fluent in German (C1) & English for customer contact.WHY DICONIUM?Your life.
