Your key responsibilities.

• You are responsible for the monthly and quarterly reporting of financial statements in the Siemens Group internal reporting tool according to IFRS and German GAAP of entities assigned to the SFS Business Unit Equity. You are closely align the closing activities with Siemens internal collaborators
• You prepare complex journal entries for equity investments in particular for new investments, for investments to be sold and for the subsequent measurement of investments
• You focus on quality assurance and proper processing of the equity business transactions in our accounting and reporting systems and ensure audit-proof documentation. In addition, you are the first point of contact for the external auditor with regard to accounting activities
• Together with the Business Unit, you further develop the IT systems that support the accounting and reporting of the equity investments and proactively drive the optimization of the financial processes
• You support the equity investment approval process, clarify open accounting issues and finally determine the accounting of the equity business transactions. This also includes general accounting topics
• In addition, you support the tax team of the entities in the preparation of the tax statements

Your toolkit for success

• Showcase educational excellence with a relevant degree in Business with strong focus on finance or accounting.
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the external accounting and Group reporting as well as in the preparation of financial statements, ideally at a financial service provider, a bank or an audit firm.
• Experience in the accounting of equity investments according to IFRS and German GAAP is highly recommended
• Excellent knowledge in the use of accounting and reporting systems (e.g. SAP, consolidation tools), MS Office applications and analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
• Practical experience in the optimization of financial processes and in the collaboration with colleagues from different regions is welcome
• Proficient presentation techniques, excellent in communication and proficient in English and German
