We're looking for a passionate Javascript Engineer who will join us to build the best video streaming platform that users use on a daily basis. As a key contributor, you'll be instrumental in developing features that resonate with our users and enhance the overall quality of our platform. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in refining our engineering processes and tools. Our current tech stack includes TypeScript, React Native and GraphQL, however we value the ability to adapt with changing technology.

The contractually agreed place of work will be Unterföhring near Munich or Berlin. Possible travel costs to the place of work will not be reimbursed.

What you can expect in this role

• You ship new and exciting features to our new media library running on Smart TVs 
• Also, you optimize the media library’s performance to ensure a smooth experience for all our users
• You work on improving our player, so that all our users have a consistently awesome playback experience
• You collaborate in an agile, cross-functional team consisting of software engineers, QA testers, product managers and UI/UX designers
• Together with the team you shape the architecture ensuring a maintainable and stable application
• Work and grow together with the team and actively coach other team members

Your essential experience and education

• You know your way around React and TypeScript
• A big plus is if have already worked with React Native and its ecosystem (Metro, Hermes, …)
• You are not fixed on a single technology and are ready to step out of your comfort zone and embrace new technologies as needed
• You have excellent communication skills in English
• Ideally, you have already worked on Smart TV applications based on React (Native) and are already aware of the pitfalls that this kind of applications bring with them
