A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Product Lifecycle Manager for transformers, you will develop and define the product development strategy for the different product types/classes with a clear focus on market and customer demands. You will drive the R&D projects, share and communicate the strategy and results with the respective factories/clusters, the engineering community and other stakeholders. You will take care of a smooth market introduction, talk and synchronize with different functions as sales, purchasing, R&D and factory management. As a product owner you will also support activities such as internal product trainings, customer workshops and marketing activities.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Listen to and understand customer and sales feedback, evaluate product opportunities
- Create and maintain business cases to define the most rewarding product development opportunities (e.g. return on investment, costs, profitability, break-even point and priority)
- Define and drive R&D projects for portfolio optimization
- Create product strategy and define the product development roadmap
- Support the business areas in creating an optimum product to meet the defined product strategy and targets
- Assure smooth factory and market introduction of portfolio optimizations
- Monitor market and perform technical/commercial analyses of competitor products
- Support global functions such as strategy, sales etc. for product specific topics
What You Bring
- Completed university degree in electrical engineering, energy management, mechanical engineering or comparable degree
- A power or distribution transformers products background with several years of experience (>5 years) in product management, innovation planning, project management, engineering or technical sales
- Expert technical know-how and market knowledge in the applicable product range
- Good understanding of product sales, product innovation cycles, product engineering and manufacturing operations, associated business departments/functions and business processes
- Entrepreneurial and strategic thinking, decision-making ability with analytics understanding
- Scaled AGILE skills would be an added advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external senior stakeholders
- Global attitude with strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to work collaboratively with teams and factories around the world
