A Snapshot of Your Day
We are looking for a Europe Operations manager for Reciprocating compressors packaging, responsible for the developing and driving Packaging Operations including developing local capabilities, developing third party packagers, supply chain for equipments including extended scope, and execution as per quality standards to meet customer's expectations in EU region.
Our portfolio includes Process and High-Speed Reciprocating compressors, Electric Motor-Driven and Gas Engine driven package.
Core responsibilities of the role include supporting order acquisition, leading successful project execution and driving operational excellence, with clear focus on quality, delivery, cost and never compromising on employee safety & health.
This position requires excellent collaboration across functions to develop suppliers, third party packagers, develop competency in the region and develop strategy with senior management to increase market share for Reciprocating compressors in Europe.
The Operation Manager will be located at one of our main CP sites in Europe: Duisburg/Germany, Lodz/Poland.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Support Sales & Bid management to develop solutions, address customer queries, manage exceptions & deviations to help order capture with higher margins
- Achieve project execution excellence and collaborate with all functions to deliver contractual deliverables including services
- Adapt and drive flexibility in the organization (including contractor management) and processes to support operations and changing portfolio and customer needs
- Improve efficiency, timely delivery, and absorption by establishing, monitoring, and evaluating important metrics on a monthly basis, while also implementing process improvements.
- Drive collaboration and coordination with all involved functions for business development activities and project execution (S, BM, PM, P, EN) and with other sites in the network
- Strive for improved Quality (reduction in NCCs) and drive RCA reviews and Correction Actions implementation across the site functions
- Drive and coordinate initiatives at site, including roadmaps for technology, digitalization and lean management
- Identify key positions and lead and develop staff, including training, hiring, talent onboarding, succession planning
- Develop Monthly Operations Reviews with financial and operational critical metrics, showcasing accomplishments, challenges, opportunities, and key initiatives.
- Represent the site in interaction with customers, suppliers, local authorities
- All other tasks as required to drive a successful Packaging Operations organization
What You Bring
- University Degree / Higher technical education in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Minimum 8 years of management experience, with an MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in working with multicultural teams
- Strong communication, networking and collaboration skills; fluency in English
- Efficiency, analytical skills accompanied by strong organizational abilities
- Entrepreneurial approach and change management capabilities to develop and successfully implement strategic plans
- Lean Management experience is a plus
