About the SnT

The ) headed by Prof. Djamila Aouada to conduct exciting research with high impact in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. He/she will help in shaping research directions within a European project involving multiple interdisciplinary partners. He/she will perform the following tasks:

  • Shaping research directions and producing results. Topics include but are not limited to:
    • Anomaly detection and pattern recognition in visual data
    • Multimodal fusion
    • Thermal imaging
    • Unsupervised and self-supervised learning
    • Data simulation and synthesis
  • Disseminating results through scientific publications
  • Collaborating with multiple project stakeholders from a large European consortium
  • Carry out high-impact research within an interdisciplinary context
  • Coordinating research projects and delivering outputs
  • Participating in writing proposals
  • Participating to the teaching activities
  • Implementing real-time solutions
  • Providing guidance to PhD and MSc students
  • Organizing relevant workshops and demonstrations

Your profile

  • A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field
  • Competitive research record in Computer Vision, preferably with publications at top-tier CV/ML conferences/journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, etc.)
  • A previous experience in European projects would be a plus
  • Strong development skills in Python
  • Strong mathematical background
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary context
  • Broad experience with machine learning algorithms and deep learning concepts
  • Commitment, team working, and a critical mind
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory
  • Advanced scientific report writing skills
