Your role
Successful candidates will join the young, vibrant, and interdisciplinary CryptoLUX research group, led by Prof. Alex Biryukov. The position holder will closely collaborate with Dr. Aleksei Udovenko who leads the project "PQSeal: Cryptanalysis of post-quantum signatures", and will be required to perform the following tasks:
- Publish high-impact research in the area of post-quantum cryptography
- Collaborate on the project tasks, internally and/or with external peers
- Independently lead execution of some project's tasks

Your profile
The candidate should possess a PhD degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

The ideal candidate should have some knowledge and/or experience in one or several of the following areas:
- Algebraic cryptanalysis (e.g. Gröbner bases)
- Cryptanalysis of multivariate or code-based schemes
- Cryptanalysis techniques in general
- Familiarity with computer algebra systems (SageMath, Magma)
- Implementation of attacks on high-performance computing (clusters/GPU)
Language Skills: Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of either French, German or Luxembourgish will be appreciated but are not a requirement to apply.
