Duration: 3 - 6 months, fulltime internship
We are looking for an outstanding individual to join us to work within our investment team. Your tasks are at the core of the work for our fund. You will help us lead research into various technology and industry segments, keep our deal flow machine running, help to build solid foundations for investment decisions by supporting due diligence on potential investments, and be the first point of contact for founders. You will learn about new products, technologies, and which business models work or don’t work. We are providing you with a condensed apprenticeship program to learn the craft of venture capital at speed at the heart of Munich’s startup scene. After “graduation” you will have learned what it takes to start your career in venture capital, to start your own venture or to join an early-stage rocket ship. We have structured the program along the following modules:
Deal sourcing
- Great companies often come from unexpected sources – help us find new sources
- You will identify, contact, and meet entrepreneurs we should get to know. You will help us find THE next big thing
- You will help us qualify the large deal flow we receive and allocate our time to the right opportunities. You will support the investment team in deal flow and business plan analyses
- You will perform technology & market research and competitor analyses as due diligence on potential investments
- You will participate in pitch meetings with founders
- You help with building a solid, data-driven basis for our investment decisions
- You will support in writing investment memos on potential investments
- You will support deal teams on executing financial transactions and help them in partnering with new startups
- You will support us in ongoing portfolio management, e.g., by helping prepare portfolio reporting
- You have the chance to drive own initiative on how to better serve our growing portfolio
- You will assist in exit preparations of portfolio companies
- You find it easy to apply first-principles thinking and your strong analytical skills.
- You have a high level of intellectual curiosity as well as a self-starter and growth mindset.
- You are collaborative, empathetic, and communicative. A true team player.
- You are deeply passionate about startups, technology, and innovation.
- Practical work experience in startups and/or venture capital, private equity or consulting is preferred.
- You are currently studying an undergraduate or graduate degree with outstanding results at a top-tier university. We are open to all types of educational backgrounds (e.g., engineering, science, business, finance, etc.).
- You possess strong written and oral communication skills in English, proficient German skills being a plus, but not a must.
- Mentorship – Be paired with one senior member of our investment team over the course of the program with regular 1-to-1 sessions.
- Coaching – You will be supported and coached by an investment team member in dedicated sessions on a weekly basis.
- VC Trainee Program – Take part in our unique 10-month venture capital traineeship program covering all aspects of the job of a venture capital investor.
- Ownership – You will own the outbound deal sourcing process that is essential to our daily work and build the core of a VC fund.
- Network – Work from the coolest office space, the Munich Urban Colab, and be part of Europe’s largest entrepreneurship center, UnternehmerTUM, to equip you with perspectives to advance your career.
- Insights – You will get first-hand insights into the way successful start-ups are built, as well as why and how venture capitalists invest in them.
- Purpose – Support the next generation of entrepreneurs in pursuing their dreams and driving positive and sustainable change through innovation and technology.

Wie mache ich schnell Karriere bei der Bank?
Für deine Karriere in einem Bank Job brauchst du vor allem drei Dinge: Freude am Umgang mit Zahlen, eine schnelle Auffassungsgabe und Leistungsbereitschaft. Hinzu kommt, dass du als Mitarbeiter einer Bank als vertrauenswürdiger und offener Ansprechpartner gegenüber den Kunden auftrittst. Schließlich berätst du Menschen, die ihr mühsam erarbeitetes Geld anlegen oder investieren wollen.
Ob der Bank Job das Richtige für dich ist, kannst du schon während des Studiums testen, indem du ein Praktikum oder ein Praxissemester machst. Bei einigen Unternehmen können Studierende auch ihre Abschlussarbeiten direkt im Bankwesen schreiben. Dafür werden eigens Stellenangebote von Banken erstellt.

Welche verschiedenen Bank-Jobs gibt es?
Dein neuer Job im Bankwesen kann als Direkteinstieg zum Beispiel über Vermögensberatungen, die Kreditsachbearbeitung oder das Investment Banking gehen.
In Kreditinstituten sorgst du dich um so einfache Dinge wie eine Kontoeröffnung, hilfst Familien bei der Finanzplanung für einen Hausbau und betreust Unternehmen, die einen Kredit aufnehmen möchten.
Im Investment Banking dagegen begleitest du Börsengänge und berätst Kunden beim Wertpapierhandel. Dort kannst du auch neue Finanzprodukte und Dienstleistungen entwickeln, die von Beratern dann an die Kunden gebracht werden.
Wie zukunftsfähig ist der Job im Bankwesen?
Das Deutsche Bankwesen gehört zu den größten der Welt, mit so etablierten internationalen Großbanken wie die Deutsche Bank, DZ Bank, KfW und die Commerzbank. Sie sind essenziell für das Funktionieren des Finanzsystems und werden deswegen vom Staat geschützt, was man zum Beispiel bei der Bankenrettung während der Finanzkrise sehen konnte.
Zwar hat das Bankwesen aufgrund der Finanzkrise nicht das beste Image, dennoch ist der Job bei einer Bank einer der wichtigsten und sehr zukunftssicheren auf dem deutschen Arbeitsmarkt. Was hier dennoch zu beachten ist, ist der Einfluss der Digitalisierung auf Banken, die ihren Geschäfts- und Privatkunden für die Abwicklung ihrer Bankgeschäfte immer mehr Möglichkeiten im Onlinebanking zur Verfügung stellen. Das hat auch Auswirkungen auf die Arbeit in den Filialen.
Wie bewerbe ich mich erfolgreich auf einen Bank-Job?
Für einen Job im Bankwesen ist eine seriöse Bewerbung überaus wichtig, jedenfalls bei einer traditionellen Bank. Bei einem FinTech-Startup würden wir eher ein modernes Design für dein Anschreiben und deinen Lebenslauf empfehlen.
Arbeitgeber kannst du mit deiner Bewerbung überzeugen, indem du auf die in den Stellenangeboten der Banken genannten Fähigkeiten eingehst und mit deinen eigenen Erfahrungen erklärst. Im Anschreiben solltest du zusätzlich auch deinen persönlichen Bezug zur Welt der Finanzen, zum Handel, zum Bankwesen oder zur Wirtschaft im Allgemein herstellen.
Auch auf das Vorstellungsgespräch solltest du gut vorbereitet sein. Je nach angestrebtem Job ist es hilfreich, sich vorher mit dem Bankwesen, der Rolle der Sparkassen und spezielleren Fachbegriffen wie Investmentfonds und dem Unterschied zwischen Spezialbanken, Universalbanken oder Geschäftsbanken auseinanderzusetzen.
Und noch ein kleiner, vielleicht trivial klingender aber umso wichtiger Hinweis: Benutze eine möglichst neutrale E-Mail-Adresse mit deinem Namen und keinem Spitznamen, den du unter Freunden benutzen würdest.
