Financial Control Opportunity – International Travel – Fast Advancement 

We are looking for an International Financial Controller for a road transport company with offices located in the south of Luxembourg. 

The company specializes in regional and national transport and handles very little international transport. With operations in Luxembourg, France, Spain, and Poland, they are now seeking an International Financial Controller to establish an international finance department, based in Luxembourg. 

In this role, you will join the Luxembourg office, which is composed of around 150 people, with over a hundred being truck drivers who are often on the road.

Your Responsibilities | Management Control - South

In this position, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the entire international scope :

• You will need to analyze the accounting data from the different production sites. 
• You will perform reporting as well as provide advice to your management. 
• More generally, you will act as the right-hand person to the General Manager. 
• You will be required to travel regularly, with the frequency being random but averaging about once a week, to the various production sites mentioned above.
  
  

Profile and Career Path | Management Control - South

• As the first member of the Luxembourg finance team, a high degree of autonomy will be required. Therefore, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience is expected, although more senior profiles are, of course, welcome. 
• A certain affinity for business travel is expected, given its regularity. 
• Similarly, regular visits to production sites will require a "hands-on" and practical mindset, rather than purely theoretical knowledge. 
• Each production site has its own TMS and ERP systems, and you will need to adapt to them to analyze their financial data. Thus, an interest in IT technologies will be a real asset for your application. 
• Experience in a similar role within an audit firm or a transport company will also be an advantage. Likewise, experience in a similar position requiring regular travel will be beneficial. 
• Since English is the only common language across all production sites, perfect fluency in English is absolutely essential. 
• Knowledge of French, Italian, Spanish, or Polish, given the locations of the various sites, will be a significant advantage, enabling you to communicate more effectively with foreign colleagues. 
• Finally, for future development reasons, Luxembourg residency is also valued.
