Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with scientists, business, and infrastructure experts to design impactful data solutions that scale across all our customer's countries.
• Build and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines ensuring data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to continuously improve data pipelines.
• Ensure high quality and stability through agile processes and peer code reviews.
• Share your ideas and advocate for innovative approaches.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data engineering (5+ years for senior position).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of Python and its associated frameworks.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control, CI/CD, monitoring, automation, and testing.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and building secure cloud architectures.
• Understanding of data lakes and their concepts is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization is a plus.
• Azure Certifications are a plus.
• Experience with machine learning, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and model selection, is a plus.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to various audiences.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
