Key Account Manager

Hobson Prior is seeking a Key Account Manager to identify, develop, and manage key accounts within the assigned territory. The role involves fostering long-term relationships and maximizing sales opportunities. The successful candidate will position our product portfolio in alignment with relevant guidelines and protocols and collaborate with key stakeholders to influence sales potential and product positioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and nurture new client relationships to enhance sales and broaden the market presence of products.
  • Implement targeted marketing strategies for specific products through direct interaction with essential stakeholders within the designated region.
  • Utilize thought leaders to strategically align product offerings with existing and forthcoming industry standards and protocols.
  • Establish and sustain a thorough understanding of customers, key decision-makers, and strategic accounts to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Optimize sales potential by recognizing growth opportunities and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Formulate and execute detailed plans to meet both immediate and long-term goals.
  • Maintain regular communication with strategic contacts at both national and regional levels, providing timely updates to the Management team regarding expected changes in protocols, products, and treatment pathways.
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of products, therapeutic areas, and market dynamics, maintaining a high level of expertise to support ongoing sales and strategic initiatives.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, a related field or similar.
  • Previous specialty pharma sales experience with a proven track record, ideally in the area of hematology / oncology.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital business.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent relationship skills and strong client orientation.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and iOS on Apple devices).
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, able to work independently.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel (~60-80% customer facing).
  • Fluency in German is a must.
  • Very good command of verbal and written English is essential.
