Sales Account Manager

Sales Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a key OEM account within the automotive sector. This role requires a deep understanding of the automotive industry, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to drive sales growth. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact between customers and the sales team, ensuring their needs are met while aligning with our company’s strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned OEM account.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Understand customer needs, requirements, and pain points to provide tailored solutions.
  • Monitor and manage customer satisfaction, ensuring prompt resolution of any issues.


Sales Strategy and Growth:

  • Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and potential new accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, quality, etc.) to ensure alignment on customer needs and project timelines.
  • Analyse market trends, customer data, and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies as needed.


Commercial Negotiations:

  • Lead commercial negotiations with customers, including pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements.
  • Ensure contracts are profitable and align with company policies and goals.
  • Manage cost estimation and quotation processes for new projects and changes to existing projects.


Project Management:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage the launch of new products and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, providing regular updates to both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage any changes in project scope, timeline, or budget, ensuring customer expectations are met.


Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide regular reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market trends to senior management.
  • Use CRM and other tools to track sales activities, customer interactions, and project status.
  • Analyse sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Automotive sector and relevant account management / sales
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluency in German and English
