The Global Finance Transformation Team collaborates with accounting, taxcompliance and technical teams around the globe to deliver world classautomated Accounting solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible- all while maintaining a strong customer focus.This role concentrates on automation of Compliance Reporting, and you willwork with stakeholders and multiple global accounting teams to identify,define, and specify solutions meeting our customers needs.Key job responsibilitieso Act as the point of contact between Accounting, Tax and Fintech teams.o Writing country specific Business Requirement documents based on theguidelines published by the tax authorities. The requirement documents shouldinclude the necessary scope, details and answers to various frequently askedquestions by tech automation partners.o Mapping of Accounting data sets from Amazon systems to relevant locallegislation’s schema for compliance reports.o Testing of the automated output reports to underlying records in anefficient manner using technologies available such as alteryx, python, sql,etc to automate the reports including validation criteria.o Work closely with other functional and system teams to understand impacts ofchanges as a result of process changes and communicate them to the relevanttax and accounting stakeholders.o Drive standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controlsto obtain the highest integrity of financial reporting (US and local GAAP) andtax compliance.o Deliver compliance reporting for a variety of different jurisdictions.o Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide escalation management,anticipate bottlenecks and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needsversus technical constraints.o Partner with customers and program managers to drive alignment where thereare opportunities to drive standardization and scalability.A day in the life[Finance and Global BusinessServices](https:amazon.jobsenbusiness_categoriesfinance)About the team[Amazon Affinity Groups](https:www.aboutamazon.comaffinity-groups)### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- University degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology.- Significant experience within accounting with BI or data analystbackground, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and or a multinationalorganization.- Adept in accounting and tax principles- Several years of experience delivering cross functional projects for largeand global entities in a matrix structure with technical and non-technicalstakeholders at various levels, from operational roles to executive leadershipwith fluent English- Skilled in data visualization techniques and reconciliation of big datausing but not limited to technologies such as SQL, Alteryx, Python, VBA,Tableau, MS Excel### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous requests, prioritizingeffectively.- Project management qualification (e.g. PMP, IMPA) or equivalent experience- Experienced ERP user, using technology solutions to optimize businessprocesses.- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
