To further strengthen our Global Compliance function, we are looking for a (Junior) Legal Counsel Compliance (m/f/d) to support our Global Compliance Prevention Team in enhancing and implementing our Compliance Management System (CMS).
Your assignments
In this role, you will provide legal advice and take ownership of preventive compliance management activities across key compliance areas, such as:
Anti-corruption/anti-bribery
Anti-money laundering (AML)/countering the financing of terrorism (CFT)
ESG/CSR/Human Rights, supply chain due diligence
Anti-fraud
Interactions with healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations (HCPs/HCOs)
Antitrust
Data protection
Your tasks will include:
Offering legal advice with a focus on anti-corruption, third-party risk management, healthcare compliance, white-collar crime, and supply chain due diligence
Developing and maintaining global contract templates and compliance clauses
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating compliance aspects of contracts, such as clinical trial agreements and agreements with sales intermediaries, suppliers, and other third parties
Conducting legal reviews of company projects from a compliance perspective in the above-mentioned areas
Drafting and reviewing compliance policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Collaborating closely with the Fresenius Kabi Legal Department, global compliance officers, and other relevant functions
Monitoring legal trends and ensuring effective knowledge management
Supporting new CMS initiatives, including the development and rollout of training, policy development, and communication campaigns
Monitoring business relationships and transactions using IT tools to ensure compliance with laws and internal regulations
Your profile
A legal degree, with bar admission as in-house counsel (Syndikusrechtsanwalt) supported
2+ years of experience (high-class internships are accepted as well) in a law firm or similar role
Experience in third-party management and healthcare compliance, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical device industries
Interest in human rights and supply chain topics
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively in interdisciplinary and global teams
Fluency in English and German
Passion for compliance with a proactive, results-driven approach and a hands-on mentality
High degree of integrity, accuracy, and a structured, analytical mindset
Willingness to travel for business occasionally
