We are currently recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to be placed in Schkopau, Germany and would be on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

 

Responsibilities

  • Participation in the execution of projects in global, multicultural projects
  • Technical design and procurement of equipment, machines, package units
  • Coordination with all specialist departments in plant planning
  • Preparation of requisition packages such as data sheets, specifications and others
  • Mechanical design of equipment
  • Obtaining and evaluating quotations and technical clarification with manufacturers
  • Technical support for site teams during the construction and commissioning phase
  • Review of manufacturer documentation and compilation of final documentation or operating instructions in line with customer requirements

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering
  • Experience in plant planning
  • Pro-active, communicative way of working
  • Experience with the design and construction of pressure equipment
  • Experience in the use of calculation programs and 3D modelling software
  • Knowledge of national and international standards
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Good knowledge of German and English
