About the Role

The role has the following key deliverables:

You support the cross functional team to define reinsurance needs and develop market leading reinsurance solutions

You coordinate data collection and build compelling reinsurance submissions

You benchmark offers to market prices and your own underwriting results

With the support of our experts you develop contracts to ensure that reinsurance coverage is aligned with our insurance offerings

Post binding you ensure high quality data in our admin and underwriting systems and feed other functions (Finance, Risk Management) with required information

You help the team to define and maintain a compelling and clear reinsurance strategy & vision which protects our balance sheet and enables the growth of the incoming (re-)insurance portfolio

You supervise and analyse trends in the reinsurance market and provide market updates to senior management

You interact and collaborate with reinsurers and brokers

Furthermore, you work in interdisciplinary teams (Products, Regional Underwriting, Risk Management, Legal, Capital & Liquidity Management, Finance and Operations) on projects and transactions

We are a small but growing team committed to thrive and succeed in the task of advancing our reinsurance buying capabilities. We are responsible for all reinsurance aspects from strategy to placement and combine structuring, pricing, underwriting, and external marketing in our team.

As a new (Junior) Reinsurance Manager, you have an exciting role to play a key part in advancing our future reinsurance strategy.

About You

We are open to junior candidates and if you come with first experience, your level of seniority will be determined during the recruitment process.

Relevant bachelor's degree in Business economics, Communications, or other in the field of social sciences

Experience in underwriting, business development and it is a plus to have product knowledge

Broad strategic problem solver with an open mind for innovation and strong focus on execution

Ability to operate in a rapidly developing business environment with strong ability to adapt to new circumstances with ease and speed

Good teammate with staying power, operational readiness, and a passion to perform

Proficient in English and German is a big plus
