Research Associate (m/f/d) in the section for Structural Design

(salary scale 13 TV-L, 50%)

The Institute of Design and Building Construction welcomes applications for the following position starting at the earliest possible date: Research Associate (m/f/d) in the section for Structural Design (salary scale 13 TV-L, 50%)

The position is limited to 3 years, with support of a doctoral dissertation.

Your role

The Research Associate is involved in teaching various courses offered by the Chair of Structural Design and prepare and carry out individual research projects. We are looking for engineers with a strong focus on complex geometry, interested in sustainable architectural structures using digital technologies and manufacturing processes. We are supporting individual doctoral dissertations.

Who are we looking for?

You have a successful university degree in civil engineering and show a very good understanding of structural design and scientific research of structures, materials and construction processes. Our special focus lies in the modelling, simulation and fabrication of complex structures using algorithmic methods (Rhino, Grasshopper, Python, FEM). You should be proficient German and English for teaching, researching and publishing.
