Your ResponsibilitiesAs part of our Forensics Services team, you will combat economic crime and protect the assets and reputation of national and international clients. As a relatively new team, we thrive on initiative and encourage team members at all levels to take charge of and drive aspects of our development. This internship is for six months at our location in Düsseldorf.
Your Main Responsibilities Include:
- Forensic Consulting: Support the Forensics and Litigation practice in Düsseldorf by advising companies that are suspected of economic crime or other compliance violations.
- Insights into Special Investigations: Assist in fact-finding investigations, the prevention of economic crime, and the improvement of compliance management and internal control systems.
Additionally, you can take on partial responsibility in areas of forensic special investigation:
- Forensic Analysis: Conduct data analysis and audits of financial and accounting data.
- Structuring and Presentation: Organize and present forensic findings.
- Interview Preparation: Assist in conducting informative and forensic interviews.
- Creation of Forensic Documents: Prepare infographics, reports, and presentations.
- Analysis of Unstructured Data: Review email communications and chat logs.

Requirements
We are looking for:
- You are at least in your fourth semester of a bachelor's degree or in the final year of your studies in economics with a focus on accounting, auditing, and/or finance.
- Ideally, you have had initial exposure to forensic projects or accounting/auditing through internships.
- You possess very good analytical thinking skills, a strong willingness to perform, initiative, and high team spirit.
- Good IT skills, particularly in MS Excel and PowerPoint, as well as very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of another foreign language is not mandatory but helpful.
- Strong presentation skills, along with a high degree of independence, commitment, and analytical thinking.
