Your Responsibilities
As part of our Cyber Security team, you will combat cybercrime and protect the corporate values and reputation of national and international clients from cyberattacks, while supporting them with optimal long-term security solutions and strategies.
As a relatively new team, we have an entrepreneurial spirit—we thrive on initiative and encourage team members at all levels to actively take charge of and drive aspects of our development. This internship is for six months with flexible start dates, and will be based at our office in Düsseldorf or Frankfurt.
Your main tasks will include:
- Supporting the Forensic and Litigation practice in advising companies that have fallen victim to cyberattacks.
- Providing rapid technical data analysis to identify breaches and understand root causes and impacts.
- Assisting in digital forensic investigations.
- Generating threat intelligence and conducting digital threat assessments.
- Contributing to concise, high-quality reports for law firms, financial institutions, and multinational corporations.
- Developing and maintaining a strong knowledge of industry-critical trends, threats, methods, and technologies.
- Supporting remediation efforts for clients following a breach, if necessary.
- Bringing expertise and skills to take on a thought leadership role in relevant topics.
- Identifying areas for improvement and submitting proposals to expand our service offerings.
- Gaining insights into special investigations related to uncovering facts, preventing economic crime, and improving compliance management and internal control systems.

Requirements
We are looking for:
- You are currently enrolled in a university degree program, ideally focusing on Computer Science, Cyber Security, or Business Informatics, in your second or final year of study.
- Ideally, you have had some exposure to cyber security projects in a consulting firm or a company, including internships.
- Strong analytical thinking skills, high level of commitment, initiative, and strong teamwork abilities.
- Good IT proficiency (especially MS Excel & PowerPoint) as well as excellent proficiency in both spoken and written German and English. Additional languages are not mandatory but helpful.
- Strong skills in presenting results, along with a high degree of independence, dedication, and analytical thinking.
