A Snapshot of Your Day
In your role as Senior technical safety expert for electrolyzers you develop and steer the future proof safe design, its requirement specification and operation around electrolyzers.
This bases on your vast experience as safety expert in designing a complete supply system from the first ideas throughout the complete development cycle up to the implementation into operational projects. With your outstanding domain expertise and special focus on functional safety, you can cascade down the safety requirements to own equipment elements and supplier provided components, also helping project teams for the system supply in HAZOPs and HAZIDs with their customers.
As part of an expert community, you also guide people in functional safety acc. IEC 61508/61511 in system developments and system projects, from the FEED and bidding phase up to and during project execution

How You'll Make an Impact
- Serve as the primary contact for hydrogen system functional safety
- Be embedded in an expert community and report directly to the Head of System Execution Excellence in SES HS
- Ensure system designs are safe for installation, commissioning, and operation, making safety a key selling point in projects while maintaining competitive costs
- Utilize deep understanding of media, materials, and components interactions to drive activities for safe performance
- Generate impulses for technology trends and innovative ideas for future electrolysis plants through an external network
- Guide non-experts, development teams, and projects as a subject matter expert
What You Bring
- Minimum 10 years of expert-level experience in functional system safety, particularly for electrolyzers
- Demonstrated experience in integrating and implementing safety measures into the design and operation of various electrolyzer technologies, including requirements management
- Educational background based on a Master's degree or PhD in engineering, with a strong emphasis on functional safety
