EUMETSAT is the European meteorological satellite agency, operating a fleet of satellites delivering weather and climate-related satellite data and images to our users; helping protect lives, property and industries.
Within our Project Planning and Control Competence Area (PPC CA), we are hiring the Junior Project Controller who will be responsible for cross-organisational reporting activities and automated tools to support analysis and decision-making of our technical teams and management line. PPC CA supports the rest of the organisation as integrated functional support in the context of a matrix organisation. The post holder will work in support of senior project controllers within the same competence area.
In this role, the successful candidate holds key responsibilities in the definition and development of appropriate tools and reports, incl. KPI analysis and trends, for project controllers to ensure an effective and accurate reporting. She/he will have multiple interfaces within EUMETSAT including supporting the project management processes and administrative functions relevant to project planning and control.

LANGUAGES
The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. Candidates must be able to work effectively in English and have some knowledge of French.

Employment Conditions
The assessment day is planned for March , with the anticipated start date of 1 October .
The initial contract will be under the EUMETSAT Early Career Employee Programme (ECEP), for two years with grade A1. Subject to successful performance, a further contract of 5 years’ duration will be awarded in a post graded A2-A4. Additional contracts may be awarded thereafter, subject to individual performance and organisation requirements. There is no limit to the amount of follow-up contracts a staff member can receive up to the EUMETSAT retirement age of 63, and there are certainly opportunities to establish a long career perspective at EUMETSAT. The basic salary for this post is EURO per month (net of internal tax but excluding pension contribution and insurances). The salary scale provides for increments on the anniversary of taking up employment, and scales are reviewed by the EUMETSAT Council with effect from 1 January each year.
