Your Role
We are looking for our Fraud Analyst to manage network fraud risks. We are seeking an experienced fraud analyst, preferably with a telecom background, analytical intelligence, and a risk-based approach mindset.
This is your opportunity to help embed fraud prevention and detection processes and tools into mobile network business of our customer.
Your Responsibilities
- You help assessing network fraud risks relevant to the organization and developing an anti-fraud program and approach
- You monitor alerts and dashboards of the fraud management system (FMS) incl. firewalls and respond appropriately given well-defined operational procedures
- You create or change rules in the FMS / firewalls (SS7, Diameter, GTP-C, SMS, Voice) that generate alarms for potential fraud
- You analyze fraud and report root cause, severity of the issue, and recommended action
- You report relevant KPIs and analysis to management in Europe and Asia
- You share information with the client to understand individual fraud cases
- You communicate with Core, BSS, Interconnect, and other teams within Rakuten about network traffic and system details.
- You coordinate with technical support teams from the external suppliers of FMS / firewalls
- You validate new product implementations as part of UAT
- You explore new detection methods or system improvements and adjust the FMS / firewalls accordingly
Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Fraud Operations
- Telecom domain knowledge; Telco-specific certificates and GSMA Fraud Certification are a plus
- Understanding of common network fraud patterns
- Basic understanding of technical implementation of fraud systems
- Knowledge and experience in configuring rule-based fraud systems; experience with Mavenir FMS a big plus
- Analytical skills to extract meaningful information from large volumes of data
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English, and preferably German, to operate with various teams both internally and externally
- Experience in a cross-functional environment
