Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with advanced German language skills (C1 or above) to join their Agile team. About the Role:

As a Senior Java Developer, you’ll be involved in developing, optimizing, and maintaining sophisticated web applications within Agile teams. This role combines hands-on development with leadership responsibilities, where you’ll mentor junior developers and uphold best practices. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and deploy web applications using Java within Agile teams.
• Lead development initiatives and participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and QA testers, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
• Conduct code reviews, ensuring code quality and scalability.
• Stay current with industry trends, bringing new insights to enhance the team’s capabilities.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Java development, particularly in web applications.
• Proficiency in Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Fluency in German (C1 or above) – essential for effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web application architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
