Job Description
Our trainee programme is a unique entry point into the world of renewables. During your time as a trainee, you will work on some of the toughest challenges within the energy sector, collaborate with some of the smartest minds in the industry, be offered world-class development and learning opportunities and be part of an exclusive network of ambitious young talents from across the world. You will also get the opportunity to apply for a seat on our CEO-led Future Board initiative – an advisory board made up of trainees and young professionals at Statkraft. As a Trainee in our Project Development Wind, Solar & Battery Storage team you will:
- Support and lead Wind, Solar and BESS projects in development phase.
- Communicate with relevant local stakeholders (politicians, permitting authorities, energy suppliers, landowners, and municipalities) and represent the project externally as well as internally.
- Identify and manage project risks. Have responsibility for profitability of projects based on cost and revenue planning.
- Learn and get hands-on experience on how to manage Wind, Solar and BESS projects from scratch up to permitting / building stage.
Qualifications
We are looking for recent graduates who are motivated to join us in leading the green energy transition. Below are some qualifications we believe are beneficial as a trainee at Statkraft:
- Universtiy degree within relevant area of Economics, Business Sciences, Political Affairs, Natural Sciences or Engineering or similar
- No more than one year of work experience post education (excluding internships/part-time jobs)
- Strong and proven ability to collaborate with others and work as a team player
- Curious and open minded towards different tasks and work environments
- Open to relocate during your trainee program for a period of 6 months
- Fluency in English is required (other European languages are an asset)
