HOW YOU CAN GROW WITH US:
At SEEK, one of our core values is ‘development’, and this includes continuous professional development. We try to ensure that each team member’s work is built around personal and skills-based aspirations, whether project management, quantitative analysis, networking, or within a particular service or focus area.
With us, you will assume responsibility from your first day on the job and gain new insights into topics – including and beyond your own specializations. To further your individual development, we track personal and performance goals through ongoing dialogue and formal meetings. While your projects at SEEK provide opportunities to build specific new skills, we also conduct regular internal trainings and sponsor external trainings as well.ABOUT YOUR ROLE We are looking for multiple Associate Consultants at SEEK Development. In this position you will harness your passion for social development and knowledge of the global development landscape to develop solutions to your client’s challenges, working on projects including organizational or resource mobilization strategies, financing flow assessments, or organizational/partnership design challenges for non-profits, government agencies, or international development organizations. You will build on and further develop your analytical abilities, communication skills and leadership in a team of diverse, highly driven and like-minded colleagues who are driven by a passion for impact. Having finished your studies in (development) economics, international development or a related field and gathered first work experience, you are highly motivated to “dive in” and looking for a position that will allow you to grow and widen your knowledge and skills in a fast-paced consulting environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Under the guidance of a project manager, perform both qualitative and quantitative analytics – disaggregating the central question and building an approach, gathering data (through desk research, surveys, interviews, etc.), aggregating and synthesizing it into recommendations for your client.
  • Perform quantitative analytics in Excel (knowledge of other statistical software such as R is a strong plus) and draw conclusions and recommendations from the results.
  • Translate your findings into well-structured and engaging deliverables in Microsoft PowerPoint or Word format, learning to build “storylines” that lead the reader from the central problem to the proposed solution, presenting arguments and evidence in a clear and appealing way.
  • Support client meetings and workshops by preparing relevant content sections, presenting selected content, and helping with logistics.
  • Learn to develop winning project proposals by supporting colleagues with the collection and structuring of relevant information as well as formatting.
  • Demonstrate ownership in your work, including attention to detail and the quality of the deliverable and its contribution to the larger project.
  • Contribute to growing SEEK’s knowledge and expertise by staying up to date on trends in global development, especially on the topics of current project work.
  • Actively support and drive SEEK’s values:
    • Exhibit a strong commitment to own the team’s and the client’s development;
    • Build ally community and collaboration internally and externally;
    • Be impact-driven, eager to learn and experiment, and actively ask for help;
    • Strive for excellence, set high professional standards, and take individual responsibility.
ABOUT YOU Your chosen area of study, first work experience, past internships and extracurricular activities reflect your commitment to global development and you are looking for an opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to real-life challenges of global development organizations. You are strategic, collaborative, and curious, like to take ownership of your work and are eager to question your assumptions and further develop your skills. You are looking for the right environment to apply your entrepreneurial spirit to the benefit of your clients and in further building the SEEK community. Last but not least, you thrive on teamwork- firmly believing that the solution to any problem can profit from a diverse set of perspectives.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT FOR THIS EXCITING ROLE:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as (development) economics, international politics or development, or a related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data effectively.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with statistical software is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated interest in global development issues and a commitment to making a positive impact.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
