If you want to work on real customer AI-projects for well-known brands and companies all along the supply chain you are at the right place! At paretos, you will be part of the customer integration team that builds the solutions for our customer's problems based on our powerful paretos cloud platform. You will work in a cross skilled team, together with engineers, customer success managers and data analysts / scientists.

On the mission to create real business value with the right prediction- and recommendation models your work will be a mixture of:

Data Analysis:

• Understand the business processes and problems of the customer and analyze the customer datasets in order to gain a deeper understanding and insights of the problem at hand
• Design and conduct time series forecasting experiments with our powerful paretos platform to find out which sets of data features and machine learning setup lead to the best results and which shortcomings data- and productwise need to be improved
• close collaboration with a highly skilled product team consisting of data scientists, engineers and product managers in fast and regular feedback iterations

Data Engineering:

• Write sql-transformations in dbt for our snowflake database to automate the data transformation that map the customer's data to our standard data schemas
• Implementing custom pre-and post processing in dbt and python to maximize the value for the customer and minimize the time-to-value of our onboarding
• Setting up and monitor our automated data pipelines, which do the ELT steps, trigger our forecasting and recommendation modules and publish results

General:

• Working together with diverse and motivated teams to create concepts how our integration, modeling and data analysis can be brought to the next level and how we can scale the approach in future
• Applying best practices for agile development, including clean code, testing and code reviews to our customer specific implementations
• Think outside the box and be innovative in your approach to product and feature development, demonstrating what can drive business value

Graduate degree in Data-Science, Computer Science or a related technical field

• Practical experience with Python
• Hands-on experience in time series analysis and time series forecasting
• Practical experience in SQL / relational databases (Experience with dbt is a plus)
• Practical experience with data science libraries like pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Polars, pandera, xg-boost, arima or similiar
• Practical Experience in Working with GIT
• Proficient analytical skills
• Understanding of Software Engineering Practices is a plus
• Motivation to work together in a team of brilliant minds and in a fast paced startup environment
• Growth learning mindset, out-side-the box thinking and result-driven mentality
• Fluent in English, German speaking is a plus
• living in Heidelberg or the Rhine-Neckar-Region or willing to relocate.
