About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated individual to be a Compliance Officer for both Swiss Re's Corporate Solutions (commercial lines) business and the Reinsurance Solutions division. This role will be part of two broader teams servicing these businesses in the EMEA region, with a focus on Germany particularly for Corporate Solutions where there is a regulated insurance carrier. The role will work closely with both business and Compliance Officers to manage compliance across Germany and the broader EMEA region. It will focus on monitoring, assessing impact and status of implementation of regulatory requirements relating to Compliance Risks. For Reinsurance Solutions, your focus will be on supporting the maturing of their compliance processes and frameworks as well as advising on innovative insurance solutions and services with an emphasis on technology and digitalisation. In addition, you will:• Monitor, assess and support implementation of regulatory developments relating to Compliance Risks, with a focus on Germany and the wider EMEA region.• Support the development and execution of the Swiss Re Compliance Programme and associated compliance risk frameworks including policies, standards, processes, training and communication.• Establish and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and provide enabling guidance to the business with respect to Compliance requirements and implementation of Compliance Risk Frameworks, with a particular focus on German as well as broader EMEA requirements.• Support/provide input to regular and relevant reporting to Senior Management and local Board of Directors.• Serve as point of contact for the German regulators for the Corporate Solutions business, in coordination with Governmental Affairs and Legal as required. May include actively participating during regulatory inspections and exams, reviewing and responding to inquiries, and coordinating production of data and file requests.• Support Global Compliance initiatives by providing input and review on group-wide projects.About the TeamThis is an exciting opportunity to be a crucial member of the Corporate Solutions EMEA Compliance team, as part of the Global team. In your role for Reinsurance Solutions, you will work closely with a dedicated Compliance Officer for the Reinsurance Solutions business. You will report to the Head Compliance Corporate Solutions. The team is internal business client facing with an international footprint and diversity of team members. We provide end-to-end guidance on key Compliance Risks including Anti-Money Laundering, International Trade Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Data Protection, Conduct Risk, and others. Our clients are diverse and are committed to delivering value and innovative services and products in a compliant manner. About You• Fluent in English and German, other languages a plus.• University degree or equivalent qualification• Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance, risk or governance related roles with experience in the German market• Good understanding of insurance regulatory requirements as applied to the digital space, including conduct risk and data protection• Solid understanding of compliance risks, particularly anti-money laundering, international trade controls, conduct and data protection• Ability to take ownership and prioritise and work in a highly dynamic and changing matrix environment• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skillsBehavioursWe expect that you always act with integrity, regardless of the situation.
