Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Eisenach, Germany
Working Hours: Full-time (39 hours/week)
Reports To: Supply Chain Director
Job Purpose
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of operational purchasing activities, demand planning, and logistics processes. You will lead and inspire the Supply Chain team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) while driving continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Purchasing Activities
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of order processing.
- Define and implement structure, processes, and data transfer protocols to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain continuous, close monitoring of supplier performance to ensure alignment with quality and delivery requirements.
Master Demand Planning
- Analyze internal and external sales data, integrating historical trends with future market expectations.
- Develop robust demand forecasting models to optimize planning accuracy and inventory management.
Logistical Processes
- Manage inbound logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Oversee intercompany logistics to streamline internal supply chain operations.
Team Leadership
- Lead, inspire, and empower the Supply Chain team to achieve departmental goals.
- Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and employee development.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams and with external partners.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monitor and ensure achievement of the following:
- Availability: Maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demands.
- Inventory Turnover: Maximize efficiency in inventory movement.
- Inventory Value: Ensure cost-effective management of stock.
- Supplier Performance: Maintain high standards of supplier delivery performance.
Skills & Requirements
Education and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
- Strong expertise in data analysis and forecasting tools.
- Strategic mindset with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Fluency in both English and German is mandatory.
