At Leica & Fjorden, we are reimagining mobile photography. With Fjorden, we set out to create the world’s camera app.

We are looking for an App Marketing Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead the charge in optimizing our presence on the iOS App Store, running targeted advertising campaigns, and driving user acquisition through data-driven experimentation. Reporting to the Head of Marketing for Leica LUX & Fjorden, you’ll play a critical role in helping us grow Leica LUX & Fjorden into the world’s leading smartphone camera systems.

We’re a small, fast-moving unit within Leica, so we’re looking for a proactive, independent contributor who thrives on responsibility and impact. If you feel this is the role for you, please reach out! Details below.

In this role you will…

  • Lead App Store Optimization (ASO): Optimize the app listing pages for Leica LUX & Fjorden on the iOS App Store, ensuring they rank highly for relevant keywords and convert effectively.
  • Run Apple Search Ads (ASA): Plan, execute, and manage ASA campaigns to drive app downloads, increase visibility, and target high-quality users.
  • Experiment & A/B Test: Design and execute A/B tests to improve app store assets, such as screenshots, descriptions, and promotional text, as well as marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze Performance Data: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like user acquisition costs, retention rates, and campaign ROI, and provide actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with Design & Product Teams: Work closely with the Head of Marketing, UX/UI Designers, and Product team to align marketing materials with the brand vision and app updates.

You will be a great fit if…

  • You have 3+ years of experience in mobile marketing, including ASO, A/B testing, and performance marketing.
  • You have demonstrated a strong understanding of App Store Optimization best practices, from keyword research to crafting engaging creative assets.
  • You are skilled at running and optimizing Apple Search Ads (ASA) campaigns.
  • You have experience with data analytics and tools (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer, or similar) and can translate performance data into clear recommendations.
  • You have an experimental mindset and are comfortable with iterative testing to improve results.
  • You are detail-oriented and understand how visuals, text, and metadata can work together to drive app store performance.
  • You are self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable owning projects from start to finish, working both independently and collaboratively.
  • It’s a bonus, but not required, if you are enthusiastic about photography and understand the unique needs of mobile photography users!

Our Stack

  • We use AppsFlyer, Amplitude, RevenueCat, Google BigQuery, and Looker.
  • Tasks are managed in Linear, UI designs and prototypes live in Figma.
  • Communication is done via Slack & Linear. You can work fully remotely, or from one of the Leica offices, e.g. Cologne, Munich, or Wetzlar (HQ). The Leica LUX & Fjorden team is distributed across Oslo, Amsterdam, Milan, and other European cities. Ideally you are located around +/- 5 hours of the UTC time zone. 1-2 times per year, we meet up in person in Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, or elsewhere.

What you get

  • Salary of ~€60k + performance bonus
  • Fully remote, work from wherever you want
  • 25 vacation days + public holidays
  • New MacBook Pro (14" or 16", your choice)
  • Employee discounts for Leica Camera products
  • (Side note: Your employment contract will be with Fjorden B.V., a Dutch subsidiary of Leica Camera AG)

You will receive a mini-test project to solve on your own time. We will pay you for your time. We want to know what it feels like to work with you on a day-to-day basis. During your time on this project, you will be a regular member of our team.

In the end, we will do another video call to talk through your solution, and you will explain why you did what you did. After this last step, we get back to you with a decision.
