Position Overview

Takara Bio Europe seeks a highly motivated individual to lead sales efforts across the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland and Austria). The position will be offered at either Regional Sales Manager (RSM) or Associate Regional Sales Manager (ARSM) level based on the candidate’s experience.


  • Associate RSM: Ideal for senior sales representatives with some managerial experience, providing an entry-level pathway into sales leadership.
  • RSM: Suitable for candidates with proven experience managing teams and driving sales performance across multiple territories.


The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in achieving regional sales targets, developing the team, implementing strategic initiatives and tactical plans to grow Takara Bio's presence in the DACH region.


Candidate Profile

We are looking for a driven individual with a strong sales background, leadership potential (or proven leadership experience), and a deep understanding of the life sciences market. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate a sales team within a European dynamic sales structure and the capacity to build strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.



Primary Duties & Responsibilities


Team Leadership and Development:

Motivate and manage Territory Managers and Account Managers within the DACH region to achieve sales targets and grow market share.


Provide guidance and coaching to team members, fostering professional growth and improving sales performance.


Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and execute sales plans aligned with company objectives, ensuring regional targets are met or exceeded.


Identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to drive sales across academic, private, government, and hospital accounts.


Customer Relationship Management:

Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, decision-makers, and stakeholders, ensuring loyalty and long-term partnerships.


Actively participate in high-value client meetings to support deal negotiations and closures.


Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Inside Sales, to share market trends and align sales strategies and promotional campaigns.


Act as the main point of contact for the DACH team, ensuring seamless communication between the field and HQ.


Represent the DACH team within the European Sales team to contribute to the development of the whole European sales structure.


Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Analyze sales performance data and provide regular updates to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and strategic focus.


Ensure accurate and timely reporting in the CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce).


Ensure monthly reports to high management to update of DACH sales progress.


Additional Responsibilities:

Support ad hoc tasks as required to meet organizational goals and regional needs.
