Hartmann Young is exclusively partnering with a global leader in the food ingredients industry to identify a highly skilled Key Account Manager specialising in infant nutrition. This organisation, renowned for its commitment to product innovation and quality, is at the forefront of supplying premium ingredients to the food, nutrition, and health sectors. With a strong emphasis on research and customer partnerships, they are now seeking a talented individual to drive the growth of their infant nutrition division across Germany.


Position Overview: The Key Account Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence in the German infant nutrition market. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key accounts within the sector, including manufacturers, distributors, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring expert knowledge of the infant nutrition market, a proven sales track record, and a strategic mindset to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Cultivate and manage strong, long-term relationships with key accounts in the infant nutrition space, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximising business opportunities.
  • Sales Growth: Drive revenue generation by understanding customer needs and aligning the company’s product offerings to meet market demands.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new business prospects and stay ahead of emerging trends within the infant nutrition sector, introducing innovative products and solutions.
  • Product Expertise: Become an expert in the company’s infant nutrition portfolio, ensuring that products meet the specific requirements of the sector and comply with all relevant regulations.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional technical and customer service support, assisting clients with product specifications, regulatory concerns, and any other needs related to infant nutrition.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including R&D, marketing, and operations, to ensure the successful delivery of solutions to clients.
  • Sales Reporting: Regularly update senior management on account performance, market insights, and competitive analysis.
  • Compliance: Ensure all activities are in full compliance with industry regulations, particularly in the highly sensitive area of infant nutrition.


Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the infant nutrition, food ingredients, or a related field.
  • Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of the German infant nutrition market, including relevant regulations and industry trends.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in business, nutrition, or a related field. A background in food science or nutrition is desirable.
