Our Client, a dynamic and forward-thinking venture capital firm based in Frankfurt, specializing in investments in innovative European companies in the financial services technologies and blockchainsectors. Their mission is to identify, support, and scale visionary startups that are transforming the future of finance and digital assets. With a strong network and a track record of successful investments, they pride themselves on fostering innovation and driving impactful growth in these fast-evolving industries. They are seeking an ambitious and analytical Analyst (or Associate) to join their investment team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced venture capital professionals, entrepreneurs, and cutting-edge startups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and research potential investment opportunities in fintech and blockchain startups across Europe.
- Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and areas of investment opportunity.
- Perform comprehensive financial, business, and technical due diligence on potential portfolio companies.
- Support the management of portfolio companies by providing strategic insights, tracking performance, and assisting in value creation initiatives.
- Prepare detailed investment theses and present findings to the investment committee.
- Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, co-investors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field (fintech/blockchain experience is a plus).
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- A deep interest in financial services technologies, blockchain, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English (German and other European languages are a plus).
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
