Global Sales Manager, Defence and Security Sector


Our Global Sales Manager will play a vital role in driving international sales of our systems and products to governments, OEM- and strategic partners to make the world a much safer place. The position requires a wide array of skills and competences from insightful people management, over long-term relationship building, to sales of defence and security products and services to government end-users, primarily within the electronic warfare sector.


As Global Sales Manager, you will become an important part of our international Sales and Marketing organisation. Your role will be a key position working closely with several other functions such as Product Management, Marketing, Technical Support, Bid Management, and our R&D organisation.

Your Role and Responsibilities


The Global Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring that sales budgets are met in terms of revenue and order intake. Further:


  • You might have demonstrated valuable sales management skills of a highly motivated team
  • You believe in yourself as a people manager – you understand the need for supporting the sales staff and making them shine
  • In your career, you have already demonstrated excellent sales skills, and you are prepared to be active in operational sales directly to our customers
  • You have great skills in terms of co-operating with other internal departments
  • You have extensive market knowledge and a huge network, which you are prepared to use in this position
  • You ensure proper sales processes and that these are followed and re-engineered whenever necessary
  • You have excellent CRM skills – excellent customer care with brilliant merchant skills.
  • You are able to make realistic cost-budgets for the sales department and follow them
  • You understand the need for appropriate reporting
  • You have the ability to work with ERP systems and using a sales funnel as a management and reporting tool


Your Profile


You might be early in your career or you might already be leading a small team of employees and you see this vacancy as the next step in your career. You have minimum 5 years of experience in sales- or sales management. You might have a degree in Business Management, Technical Engineering or you are simply an outstanding sales performer. You are energetic and enthusiastic about sales, and you like to have fun in your work. Further, you are:


  • Curios – you understand your customers challenges and you are relentless in trying to support them
  • Honest and trustworthy – your reporting is open and candid
  • Result-oriented – you meet your agreed budgets
  • Competitive – you like to win and make winners
  • Endurance – you have a hunter-instinct and do not always accept no for an answer


You live within commuting distance of Munich, and you speak and write English and German at a professional level. It would be an advantage if you hold, or have recently held, a security clearance in Germany. We anticipate you are a German citizen or you have lived in Germany for at least the last 5-10 years.
