What will the role be about
The Business Controller (junior) M/F will be responsible for DACH Cluster (Germany, supporting Austria and Switzerland), report to the Regional Finance Controller of Northern, Central & Eastern Europe (based in Poland).
As a part of this diverse and internationally focused role, your activities will centre around:
- Financial Analysis: Conducting detailed financial analysis, including preparation of reports on revenues, costs, profitability, and other key indicators.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborating on budget preparation and financial forecasts, monitoring their implementation, and identifying any deviations.
- Reporting: Developing regular financial reports for management, containing result analysis and recommendations for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Investment Effectiveness Control: Analysing investment returns and evaluating the efficiency of investment projects in the context of the company’s strategy.
- Operational Cost Control: Monitoring and analysing operational costs, identifying areas for optimization, and developing strategies for effective expenditure management.
- Financial Data Management: Accurate collection, analysis, and maintenance of financial data, ensuring its accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Asset Risk Management: Analysing the impact of vehicle sales on financial outcomes, identifying residual value effect, and implementing strategies to mitigate risk.
- Special Projects: Active participation in special projects related to financial analysis, including the introduction of new tools or involvement in the implementation of systems supporting controlling.
- Process Development: Collaborating with the team to improve existing controlling processes and implementing new methodologies to enhance departmental efficiency.
Who are we looking for (must have / nice to have)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in finance or controlling.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent data analysis skills and the ability to interpret financial results.
- Financial tools proficiency: Familiarity with financial analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel (Macro’s and Power Query proficiency would be an advantage) and proficiency in reporting systems. SAP, SQL and Qlik knowledge would be an advantage.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to convey complex financial information in an understandable manner.
- Fluency in English, German and nice to have any other language of the business unit.
