Housing 5,500 square meters, the architects to carry out renovations to the cultural heritage site.
Museum Associates at Fotografiska play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience through their customer-focused and sales-oriented approach. As the primary point of contact for both the museum and the in-house concept store, this front-facing role is crucial in crafting a memorable guest journey. Associates provide a unique and creative space for guests to gather, shop, and share inspired moments, making this one of the most visible and influential roles within Fotografiska.
This role sets the standard for exceptional service and encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including greeting guests, managing ticket sales for admissions and events, driving retail sales, cultivating memberships, supporting exhibition floors, and fulfilling various other duties as required.
Museum Associates are key in fostering community, maintaining a positive and dynamic atmosphere within the museum, and acting as brand ambassadors. They encourage guests to fully immerse themselves in Fotografiska's modern museum experience. The ideal candidate is adaptable, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is ready to support all departments during a period of ambitious growth.
Key Requirements:
Consistently deliver a high level of thoughtful hospitality and engaging, professional service.
Build strong, lasting relationships with members and museum guests.
Serve as a charismatic and articulate front-of-house ambassador of the Fotografiska brand.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current exhibitions, event programming, retail inventory, membership offerings, and sales promotions.
Actively drive sales for museum admission tickets, event programs, memberships, retail items, and occasionally Food & Beverage services.
Optimize cross-promotion and upselling of products.
Handle transactions with precision, ensuring security and integrity.
Strive to meet and exceed shared KPIs and sales targets.
Connect retail merchandise sales with current exhibitions and programming.
Restock and maintain visual merchandise standards on the shop floor.
Participate in retail inventory counts.
Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries via phone and email.
Support a diverse array of dynamic programming events, including talks, workshops, screenings, parties, performances, and exhibition openings.
Engage energetically and professionally during events, interact with VIPs, and manage crowds gracefully.
Apply meticulous attention to detail while working the exhibition floors.
Coordinate with managers to fulfill requests for special guests, artists, and partners.
Maintain high standards of aesthetics and cleanliness throughout the museum.
Adhere to policies and procedures, including compliance with evolving regulations.
Requirements
Represent the museum with warmth, professionalism, and a deep understanding of our vision in every interaction.
Be flexible and adaptable in a constantly evolving environment.
Experience in retail sales and/or hospitality.
Enthusiasm for unique brands and products.
Fluency in both German and English.
Availability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
Passion for art and culture.
Valid work permit.
