We are currently seeking an AccountManager Drug Discovery for Central/South Germany and Austria whowill be responsible achieving regional sales target within budgetconstraints to contribute to the overall corporate sales growth andstrategic objectives. What we’ll get you doing: - Achieve assignedsales targets while remaining within the established expense budgetand providing customer satisfaction - Direct Territory Deliverables- Achieve Annual Quota in designated territory - Achieve MonthlyQuota in designated territory - Provide prompt and accurateforecasts as requested - Participate to programmed funnel reviewsand marketing reviews when requested - Provide all reports whenrequested by manager within set timescales/deadlines - Develop andmaintain accurate Territory Plan - Identify, qualify, develop,support and close sales of the Molecular Devices Drug Discoverysystem portfolio - Prepare and present basic productdemonstrations, also in a team with the dedicated ApplicationScientist, to existing and potential customers. - Develop, update,and maintain to a high degree of accuracy and integrity, theprospect database (SFDC) and existing customer list and monitorsales growth - Close liaison with the rest of the team to ensuremagnificent customer support from initial interest to post-salessupport - Maintain a high level of technical and applicationcompetence of Molecular Devices products - Monitor competitor’sactivities, products, and potential new or improved applications orproduct extensions - Evaluate effectiveness of Molecular Devices’marketing programs - Provide monthly revenue and productforecasting, quarterly plans of action, status, and expense reports- Attend trade shows, seminars and workshops as well as maintainingcustomer contacts to develop and improve sales skills - Performother related duties as assigned - Take ownership for own personaldevelopment and know about the market and competition The essentialrequirements of the role include: - BSc degree or higher,preferably in life science technology with a (molecular) biologybackground or equivalent - At least 3 years sales experience inrelevant field. Must be able to demonstrate ability to develop asales territory & achieve target consistently - Shown successin direct sales of high value capital equipment to pharmaceutical,biotechnology, academic and government research laboratorycustomers - Essential – excellent English & German languageskills - Have excellent written and verbal communication skills,particularly in areas of negotiation, persuasion, research &problem solving It would be a plus if you also possess previousexperience in: - Strong working knowledge of MS Office - MS-Teams,SFDC and MS-Power BI knowledge - Be highly motivated withdemonstrative interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills- The ability to work with a high degree of independence,self-starters - Ability to work together in a constructive way withpeers, subordinates, and seniors in anticipating and resolvingissues At Molecular Devices we believe in designing a better, moresustainable workforce.
