The position:


In 2019, our client embarked on a mission to shape the the insurance industry, and aim to become the most customer-focused and efficient insurer in the market. As a technology focused company, they seek data-driven solutions and customer satisfaction to deliver exceptional experiences.


  • You'll join the Finance team, supporting the Chief Actuary in developing the target actuarial data landscape.
  • Your role involves testing and implementing advanced data flows and machine-learning techniques and forecast technical performance across international operations.
  • Optimize reserving & technical performance insights by addressing legacy data shortcomings and establishing actuarial datasets using a flexible and consistent approach.
  • Ensure the credibility and highest level of data quality in actuarial analysis, fostering collaboration with other data consumers (pricing, claims, data).
  • Contribute actively to defining and refining the actuarial data landscape and tools in line with company strategy
  • Stay updated on data usage in actuarial analysis, machine-learning techniques, and AI applications, proactively testing new approaches for discussion with corporate actuaries.



Qualifications/Key Skills:


  • Accredited degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Relevant professional experience in data science, with solid understanding of actuarial loss reserving.
  • Proficient in data analysis, with strong skills in SQL, Python, and experience in Cloud Computing (e.g., Azure).
  • Expertise in data visualization using Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud, or Power BI.
  • Fluent in English and German (C1/C2), additional languages are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Capable of working independently and efficiently, with a high level of reliability.
  • Open-minded towards adopting new techniques and exploring data within a growing organization.
  • Motivated and curious to delve deeper into problem-solving.



This role is based in Munich and will be a full-time position. Total salary package is €95,000 per year. German and English fluency is a requirement, candidates without this will not be considered.
