Job Description
Our client, Germany's leading comparison corporation, is seeking a Junior PHP Developer for their Cologne office. Location: Cologne

Tasks:

• Develop and maintain the overall architecture, including frontend, backend, databases, and caches (comparison mask, comparison result, final route, REST API).
  
• Optimize and scale the system within a service-oriented architecture to improve performance, speed, and stability.
  
• Enhance the automated release process (continuous integration) and support quality assurance (unit testing).
  

Requirements

• Initial experience in backend development for websites and applications, including APIs.
  
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and understanding of OOP principles.
  
• Knowledge of database and caching systems such as MySQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
  
• Familiarity with software design, test-driven development, and distributed architecture.
  
• Strong quality awareness, independence, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Must-have: Fluency in German and English.
