In addition to protein crystallization instrumentation, we also have developed a proprietary microfluidic liquid dispensing technology with a global presence.

The Sales Manager is responsible for building, managing, and maintaining a strong sales team directed toward growing FORMULATRIX market share, revenue, and profitability consistent with strategic business goals. This will be accomplished through the implementation and execution of a business plan, business and channel development, and effective hiring and developing sales talent. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and collaborating with the marketing manager to maximize the value and ROI of lead generation, demand generation, and business development activities.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and driving profitable business growth in Europe and will work closely with the company president, marketing managers, product managers, and support team to develop strategies, tactics, and sales plans to meet or exceed our annual instrumentation, consumable, and maintenance sales goals. The Sales Manager is responsible for providing accurate sales forecasts for manufacturing build plans and financial reporting. In addition, the Sales Manager will be responsible for developing an overall European market strategy with an emphasis on liquid handling for sample preparation in genomics and drug discovery research. The Sales Manager will effectively manage headcount and other budgeted expense/revenue plans to improve overall profitability while driving growth.


Requirements


  • BS or higher degree in the Life Sciences or equivalent experience
  • 3 years successfully building and managing a team of sales representatives
  • Experience selling capital equipment
  • Strong pipeline and activity analysis skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%


Preferred Requirements


  • PhD in the Life Sciences
  • 5 years managing sales teams selling capital equipment in the Life Sciences space
  • Broad industry knowledge of liquid handling, genomics, and drug discovery workflows
  • Extensive knowledge of B2B selling throughout Europe
