As a Junior Analyst at the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF), you will be involved in all processes to build our investment portfolio. Your responsibility will be:

  • Screening relevant sources for outstanding startups

  • Evaluating incoming deal flow against ECBF criteria 

  • Support the investment team with gathering data for startup analysis, update databases and liaise with entrepreneurs

  • Write and publish articles, research market trends and support preparation of the deep-dive workshops

  • Partnering with members of the investment team to deliver deals and sector thesis

Why you´re a good fit for us:

You are a self-motivated personality who enjoys researching technical and financial matters. A hunting instinct to source and identify attractive investment opportunities is part of your DNA.

You have completed your bachelor's degree in natural sciences, chemistry, process engineering, finance, or business. and you want to gain one year of working experience before starting your master studies.

You are passionate about venture capital, start-ups, innovative technologies, and the bioeconomy.

Ideally, you already have experience working in a start-up, business development, consulting, or private equity as a working student or intern. 

You are used to working independently and bringing your initiative to a team.

You speak fluent English and additionally, you speak one more European language. You are also an expert in  MS Office tools.

This role is designed for young professionals who want to gain their first work experience between their studies and is therefore limited to 1 year. A transition to a permanent position is not intended.
