We're a team of specialists charged with managing the firm’s liquidity, capital, and risk, and providing the overall financial control and reporting functions. Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firm’s counterparties, monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, or offering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our work contributes directly to the firm’s success. The business is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail. The Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding the firm's assets: to help maintain the integrity of Goldman Sachs' finances and expenditures. Through careful consideration and analyses of firm finances, objectives and strategies, we ensure that the firm's businesses continue to be profitable and efficiently run. Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllers, professionals in the department experience Goldman Sachs businesses, products, and sophisticated technology systems in depth. Direct Hedge Funds, Hedge Funds Strategies, Private Equity Group teams within Controllers support the alternative investments within Goldman Sachs Asset Management division with oversight over complex private funds.

YOUR IMPACT 

As a Regulatory Reporting Associate you will be involved in and/or have responsibility for:

  • Developing the ICAAP Framework for the Goldman Sachs entities in Germany
  • Working with multiple firmwide and external stakeholders to deliver the entity’s ICAAP in a timely fashion.
  • Recovery and resolution reporting for the Goldman Sachs entities in Germany
  • Regulatory capital adequacy reporting for the Goldman Sachs entities in Germany
  • Calculating components of the regulatory capital position and large exposures for the German bank entity on a daily basis
  • Addressing ad hoc requests in relation to regulatory aspects
  • Participation in global regulatory project work including system developments, implementation of new products and new regulatory framework
  •  SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Academic degree in business administration or finance
  • Preference of a minimum 3 years of professional experience in a regulatory environment, preferably in the financial industry in Germany or a SSM country
  • Preference of professional experience of having worked on the ICAAP framework.
  • Business fluency in English, German language skills would be beneficial
  • Good knowledge of European/German regulatory rules
  • Attention to detail and time management are essential skills for this role. In addition, the candidate should have the flexibility required to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines
  • Strong computing skills – comfortable with large data sets and automation tools
  • Strong communication - ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to a broad range of people across the Firm at various levels of seniority
  • Self-motivated and proactive - Ability to run with issues, get involved hands-on, and provide constant high-quality feedback
  • Ability to maintain mutual support within a high energy, high profile team​
