Working Student / Intern - Business Development

About the role:

As a Business Development Working Student / Intern, you will be an integral part of our Commercial team, working closely with Sales, Key Account Management, and Revenue Operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various facets of business development. You will play a key role in supporting the Sales team throughout the sales funnel, from lead qualification and initial prospect engagement to closing select deals independently. Additionally, you will assist the Key Account Management team in analyzing customer performance metrics and identifying areas for further optimization. Moreover, your involvement with the Revenue Operations team will include conducting market assessments and preparing supporting materials for the commercial organization, such as updated pitch decks and business cases. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and operational execution.

As a Business Development working student / Intern, you will:

  • Identify and research prospects, along with their decision-makers, to enhance and expand existing lead lists.
  • Engage with prospects through various channels (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.) and schedule meetings with Sales Managers.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize communication strategies to improve response rates and engagement outcomes.
  • Customize sales collateral and craft compelling communication materials to enhance prospect engagement.
  • Analyze customer performance metrics, identify key trends, and recommend actionable improvement measures.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research on relevant industry trends and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and contribute to the overall success of the commercial organization.
Who we are looking for:
  • Working student for 20 (up to 40) hours per week
  • Experience in Business Development, Sales or similar roles
  • You are communicative, eloquent and not shy to get in touch with people you don´t know
  • You think as an entrepreneur and are committed to win
  • You are highly motivated to bring things forward, find hands-on solutions and drive impactful results
  • You are comfortable in a high-performance, fast-paced environment
  • You are fluent in speaking and writing German
  • Your English is good enough to have internal conversations with colleagues and stakeholders
