The Key Account Manager is responsible for fostering and growing relationships with key customers >$1M in a territory size of >$10M to maximize long-term revenue opportunities and customer satisfaction. They are responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the overall satisfaction and success of our key customers.

Essential Job Duties

  • Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key customers, serving as the primary point of contact for their strategic needs.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with the organization's overall business objectives
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth within key accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and introducing new products or services
  • Lead negotiations for major contracts and agreements with key clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms
  • Manage the profitability of key accounts, ensuring that they contribute positively to the organization's financial goals
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry changes affecting key accounts
  • Ensure that the organization's products or services align with the strategic goals and challenges of key clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM disciplines or Business Administration, Management, or relevant work experience in a technical field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, required
  • 5+ years of proven experience in one of the following roles: account management, business sales, business development or, required. Previous experience in a B2B environment, a plus!
  • Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Proven experience in strategic relationship management, including effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in customer management and pipeline development
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to drive strategic sales and growth
  • Strong team player; motivated and extremely customer centric


Location & Commitments

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Location: Remote, based in Germany


Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Must be able to operate a computer


Compensation:

  • €50- €60k/yr + €3k/quarterly bonus


Travel Required

  • Minimal (up to 20%)
