AI Futures are retained exclusively to find a Senior Manager for Analytics and AI for the Group functions

Headquartered in Hamburg, this is a $15bn revenue Energy and Trading company who are delivering record profits, have a strong balance sheet and are hugely acquisitive. This is one of the few companies of their size in Germany who are at the start of their journey with Data & Analytics and AI. The CEO is from a $100bn revenue public company with world class Data and AI and is committed to repeating the formula.

This is the perfect opportunity for a Manager/ Senior Manager / Head of to join a new leadership team who are doing game changing projects. You will also have the opportunity to develop into the Successor for the CDAIO.

The Role

• Manage a team of 10 people on Day 1 with the investment to scale your time in line with the D&A and AI Strategy and business growth
• Ownership of a P&L to measure the value creation or cost saving of data and AI products
• Serve as the Lead Product Manager for the Group functions (e.g. Finance, Tax, Treasury, HR, IT) developing data and AI products aligned to the business and which can be sold to the external market
• Ownership of the company’s AI Strategy with a particular focus on scaling the inhouse LLM based GenAI product
• Build high quality relationships with senior stakeholders, including the CFO and his direct reports

The Candidate

• 10+ years experience in Data and Analytics and data product management
• 3+ years in a hands on leadership role
• Strong background D&A and AI use cases in the Finance function and deep experience of Finance business processes e.g. Planning and Performance Management, Financial Reporting, International Trade, Controlling, Forecasting, Treasury
• Understanding of Data architecture, including Azure, Databricks and Power BI
• Experience with ML platforms. LLMs of GenAI beneficial
• Experience in the Energy Trading, Financial Services, Supply Chain or Logistics industry beneficial
• Fluent German beneficial
• You must be in Hamburg or able to travel to Hamburg minimum 2 days per month
