Singer & Sohn is a long-standing German manufacturer of capital equipment serving the food industry, renowned for high quality, bespoke equipment. As part of their growth plan, we are looking to recruit a dynamic Area Sales Manager to cover the North of Germany. The ideal individual will demonstrate passion for building strong customer relationships, coupled with a strategic mindset to drive business development into new market sectors.

About the Role:

• Customer Relationships & Business Growth: You will build and maintain excellent relationships with customers, translating their needs and feedback into actionable strategies. Your focus will be on growing sales across our portfolio, particularly in loading systems, thermal product treatment, and automation solutions.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the technical/engineering team to coordinate sales efforts, ensuring seamless communication and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in developing packaged service offerings, as well as identifying target markets and potential applications for various products.
• Market Expansion & Forecasting: Contribute to the development of strategies that will expand our market presence. This includes forecasting sales, managing weekly KPI reports, and participating in engineering and technical developments when needed.

Key Requirements:

• Educational Background & Industry Experience: Ideally, a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent, with significant experience in capital equipment sales within the food industry.
• Relationship Building & Language Skills: Proven ability to build sustainable relationships within large, complex organisations. Fluency in German and English is required.
• Self-Motivation & Flexibility: A self-starter with high energy, driven by success and capable of thinking outside the box. This role requires extensive travel within the assigned territory.
