Job Title - Staff Data Engineer

Location - Remote in Germany

As a Backend Software Engineer on our Identity Team, you will play a crucial role in building robust and scalable backend systems that enable seamless identity verification and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for secure identity verification and management.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end engineers, product managers, and designers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of our platform, especially in relation to sensitive identity data.
• Design and implement microservices that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems for better efficiency and reliability.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in identity management, data security, and backend technologies.

About You:

• Have 10+ years of overall professional experience
• Have 3-5 years of experience in database development, OLAP, ETL, data modelling, complex SQL queries
• Deep AWS experience
• Understand design patterns and have working experience in developing and deploying microservices in the cloud, and have a proven track-record in doing so
• Care about privacy by design, security, testing, high-performance systems, and mentoring others, and have an inclination towards clear communication, inclusion and visibility
