Data Engineer:
Our client’s dynamic and innovative data team is dedicated to shaping the company’s data landscape- ensuring a robust, future-ready data ecosystem.
In your Role as a Data Engineer, you will work co-operatively across different business units to drive data driven projects and strategy across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimise the central data platform to support the company's data strategy.
- Collaborate closely with different departments to design and implement data products using a Data Mesh approach.
- Build and maintain high-quality data flows and pipelines, to transform data and enable critical business processes.
- Support your colleagues by helping them adopt modern development technologies and best practices.
- Take full ownership of your projects, making informed decisions to drive them independently, and reporting back to the Chapter Lead for Data Engineering.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional Experience: At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or business intelligence environments.
- Education: A degree in IT, Data Science, or a related field (equivalent certifications such as AWS are also beneficial).
- Technical Experience: Proficiency with data platforms, data lakes and cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Expertise: Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, especially Data Vault 2.0, as well as strong SQL skills and ETL/ELT tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, communication, and analytical thinking skills, with a proven ability to quickly comprehend complex data concepts.
- Languages: Fluency in both German and English is essential.
