What You’ll Get toDo: Leidos has an excellent opportunity for an experienced,self-directed, Network Administrator. This position is in supportof a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM locatedOCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position requires OCONUS travel.The selected candidate will serve as a Network Administrator on aTeam supporting EUCOM as the command implements network automationand orchestration as well as software defined networking. Theselected candidate will be expected to configure devices within themanaged WAN, LAN, Security Architecture and Data Center formultiple networks. The Network Administrator must understand howsystems and applications interoperate within an enterprise ITenvironment and perform troubleshooting efforts across differenttechnology teams to solve complex problems. The NetworkAdministrator must have experience and technical knowledge of bothEnterprise and Data Center networks in addition to network securitytechnologies. This position is a hands-on technical position thatprovides technical expertise for enterprise network infrastructureat customer sites. The Network Administrator will work in dynamicfast paced environments that require team interaction andsynchronization of efforts across several projects. The candidatemust interface with both internal and external executiveleadership. The selected Network Administrator must be familiarwith Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure, Cisco DNAC, andnetwork automation strategies and must be able to demonstrate howthey led a team or was an individual contributor in the deploymentof network automation and orchestration. The Network Administratorwill work with the team that is responsible for maintaining,analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing and supporting all switchingand routing devices, firewalls, load balancers, and in-line networkencryption devices. The candidate must have a fundamentalunderstanding of network engineering concepts and be able to adaptto emerging technologies as they are introduced to the environment.The Network Administrator will ensure that network devices areconfigured in accordance with security policies; develop andmaintain IP address schemes for all assigned network; and managecircuit provisioning throughout the delivery life cycle. Thesuccessful candidate must be able to communicate clearly andsuccinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideasin a business-like manner. The candidate will require stronginterpersonal skills due to continual interaction with managers,clients, and users with varying technical backgrounds in afast-paced work environment. More About the Role: EUCOM operatesmultiple network enclaves, several of which provide criticalCommand and Control capabilities globally. EUCOM is looking torapidly expand their network footprint and capacity. The selectedNetwork Administrator will be expected to operate in a complexenvironment with multiple different organizations providing variousaspects of service delivery to the customer. The candidate must becomfortable looking at problems from different angles to determinepotential root causes, develop strategies to test your theories,and then effectively communicate that to other service providers.You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Currently hold an adjudicatedSecret Clearance and be able to maintain BA/BS + 3 years recentspecialized or AA/AS +7 years recent specialized or a major cert +7 years recent specialized or 11 years of recent specializedexperience Extensive operational experience maintaining networkinfrastructure Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word,Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) DoD IAT Level III or greater CiscoCertified Network Administrator as minimum Computing EnvironmentCertification Enterprise level experience designing, engineering,operating and maintaining network security infrastructures TheseQualifications Would be Nice to Have: ITIL v3 or v4 – FoundationCisco Certified Internetwork Expert (Enterprise, Data Center orSecurity) Understanding of Department of Defense Military standardsExperience with DoD IT security requirements Experience managingmetrics supporting Critical Success Factors (CSF) CITS3 OriginalPosting Date: 2024-09-17 While subject to change based on businessneeds, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition willremain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date ofno earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listedabove.
