Research Scientist in Smart Implant Covering Referencecode: 50126914_2 – 2024/PL 2 Commencement date: January 1st, 2025Work location: Teltow Application deadline: November 25th, 2024 Thedepartment of Digital Design and Processing in the Institute ofActive Polymers at Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon invites applicationsfor a Research Scientist in Smart Implant Covering. At thedepartment of Digital Design and Processing we are working in closecollaboration with colleagues at Charité –UniversitätsmedizinBerlin. Jointly, we are developing clinically led,materials-oriented solutions to key healthcare issues, particularlyin cardiac and vascular field. Our key challenge is developingadvanced implantable technologies to provide doctors and patientswith better implants and improved clinical outcomes. We haveexcellent infrastructure for manufacturing and processingmaterials, rapid prototyping and characterisation of materials andmedical devices. We are looking for motivated scientists to joinour team. The post is funded by 3rd party resources. The positionis divided between two institutions, where the selected candidatewill receive 1 year contracts in each, without the need of furtherapplication process. - Year 1 Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, Departmentof Digital Design and Processing - Year 2 Charité–Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Department of Cardiology Equalopportunity is an important part of our personnel policy. Theposition is full-time (39 hours/week).
