Engineering is the application of mathand science to solve real world problems. The MaintenanceReliability Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliableoperation and maintenance of equipment and facilities within ourorganization. This position is responsible for identifying,analyzing, and implementing strategies to improve the reliabilityand efficiency of our maintenance processes. The MaintenanceReliability Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teamsto develop and implement maintenance strategies, monitor equipmentperformance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Aufgaben- Equipment Criticality Assessment: Reliability engineers workingwith process teams determine the criticality of equipment withineach area of manufacturing. By understanding the importance ofdifferent assets, maintenance can prioritize their efforts andallocate resources accordingly. Reliability engineers provideinsight into the impact of equipment failures on production,safety, and cost of repairs. - Develop and implement maintenancestrategies: Collaborate with maintenance and process teams todevelop and implement effective maintenance strategies thatoptimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. - Performreliability analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of equipmentperformance data, failure patterns, and maintenance records toidentify potential areas for improvement. Use this analysis todevelop proactive maintenance plans and strategies. - Monitorequipment performance: Utilize various monitoring techniques, suchas condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance tools, totrack and evaluate equipment performance. Identify trends,anomalies, and potential failures to take proactive measures. -Drive continuous improvement: Lead and participate incross-functional teams to identify and implement continuousimprovement initiatives related to maintenance practices,processes, and equipment reliability. Collaborate with processteams to develop and execute action plans. - Conduct root causeanalysis: Investigate equipment failures and incidents to determineroot causes and develop corrective actions. Implement preventivemeasures to mitigate future occurrences. - Provide technicalexpertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on maintenancereliability and provide technical guidance and support tomaintenance and process teams. Stay updated on industry bestpractices and emerging technologies. - Develop and maintaindocumentation: Create and maintain accurate and up-to-datedocumentation related to maintenance strategies, procedures, andequipment performance. Ensure that all relevant information isaccessible to the appropriate stakeholders. - Spare PartsManagement: The reliability engineer will provide input onequipment criticality and failure rates to guide the spare partsmanagement decisions. - Reliability Engineers and Capital ProjectEngineers often collaborate to ensure that new assets ormodifications to existing assets are designed and implemented withreliability in mind. Here's how they interface: - Design Input:Reliability Engineers provide valuable input during the designphase of capital projects. They contribute their expertise inreliability engineering principles, failure analysis, andmaintenance strategies. By participating in design reviews, theycan identify potential reliability issues, suggest improvements,and ensure that the new assets are designed for optimal performanceand longevity. - Reliability Specifications: Reliability Engineerswork with Capital Project Engineers to develop reliabilityspecifications for new assets or modifications. They definereliability targets, performance indicators, and maintenancerequirements that should be considered during the design andconstruction phases. - Risk Assessment: Reliability Engineers withCapital Project analyze the potential risks associated withequipment failures, system downtime, and maintenance requirements.- Vendor Selection: Reliability Engineers may assist CapitalProject Engineers in the selection of equipment vendors. They canprovide input on vendor reliability track records, equipmentperformance data, and maintenance requirements. - Commissioning andStart-up: Reliability Engineers work closely with Capital ProjectEngineers and they ensure that proper reliability tests,inspections, and maintenance procedures are followed. They may alsoprovide training and guidance to operations and maintenance teamsto ensure a smooth transition from project completion to ongoingreliability management. - Lessons Learned and Feedback: ReliabilityEngineers collaborate with Capital Project Engineers to capturelessons learned from capital projects. They analyze equipmentperformance data, maintenance records, and feedback from operationsand maintenance teams. Profil - Technical Expertise: A maintenancereliability engineer should possess a strong understanding of theequipment they are responsible for. This includes knowledge ofmechanical systems, electrical systems, instrumentation, and otherrelevant technical aspects. - Min. 2 years of experience in asimilar position - Fluency in German and English language -Analytical Skills: being able to analyze data, identify trends, andmake informed decisions based on the data collected. -Problem-Solving Abilities: An effective maintenance reliabilityengineer should be a skilled problem solver. You need to be able todiagnose and troubleshoot issues promptly and efficiently, findingroot causes and implementing effective solutions to preventrecurring problems. - Proactive Mindset: Instead of waiting forequipment failures to occur, a maintenance reliability engineershould take a proactive approach. This involves implementingpreventive maintenance strategies, such as condition-basedmonitoring, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centeredmaintenance. - Collaboration and Communication: You should haveexcellent communication skills to collaborate effectively withdifferent teams, including operations, maintenance, and management.- Continuous Improvement: An effective maintenance reliabilityengineer should constantly strive for improvement. This involvesstaying updated with industry best practices, new technologies, andemerging trends in reliability engineering.
